One must create meaning in life to acquire morality.

Existentialism

Existentialism is the belief that life has no inherent meaning. Many authors and philosophers have contributed to the ideology, such as Sartre, Franz Kafka, Nietzsche, and Albert Camus. Sartre summed up existentialism best when he said "Existence precedes essence" , meaning that existence is independent of meaning, and thus just because life exists doesn't mean that is has purpose.

Nihilism

Nihilism and existentialism are slightly different. Existentialism is the belief the life has no inherent purpose, as does nihilism. But nihilism argues that morality is not natural, and all attempts for humans to be moral are contrived. Nihilists do not attempt to be moral, as many existentialists do, because nihilists believe that morality is not natural. This leads to nihilists often being associated with amoral behavior out of their own will.
